Hi i keep getting the same trouble but what i do is remove the ethernet cable or reset my router then it works where u have wireless tho it would be better to un-plug the router then plug it back in.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with your problem.
There is alot of lag as of now on Guild wars people are complaining about it in all towns/outpost.
This information may have nothing to do with your porblem but it sounds like a problem i used to have all the time. (Changed ISP)

Error 58 is to do with interuptions in the access GW has through your router/internet ports.
I don't really know much but you might wanna try reinstalling the router on the pc and reconfiguring it again.

Hi i had the same problem last weekend when there was a rep bonus, gw kept crashing with code= 007 and code = 058, i uninstalled and reinstalled gw twice last sunday, it appears to have worked. No problems since, i was annoying though as in takes a while to completly re- install gw back and then again for the second time as i wanted to farm some rep. Try my method and maybe it will work.

Make sure your Windows firewall is either OFF, or set to allow access by gw.exe

Right ok now this is a little long but its what play nc suggest doing.
We're sorry that you are experiencing network difficulties. The error you are reporting, Code=058, is indicative of a mis-configured network setting or network interference. Please use the following information in order to assist you in troubleshooting this issue:
1. Make sure GW.EXE or GWSETUP.EXE is added to your firewall's exception list. If you have already allowed Guild Wars in the past, please double check the exceptions. Often times firewalls will decide to block Guild Wars after it has patched. If adding an exception does not help, please try completely uninstalling the firewall software.
2. If you are using a router, please open and/or forward both TCP port 6112 and TCP port 80 within their settings. If you are connecting to Guild Wars while on a campus or business network, please consult your network's administrator to verify that these ports are available. If you are using a NETGEAR® router please review the following article:
Why am I unable to connect to Guild Wars while using my NETGEAR® router?
If you are using a wireless router, try connecting your computer directly to the router using an Ethernet cable instead.
3. Try temporarily disabling any Internet Security or Anti-virus/spyware applications. If this resolves the connection issue, then you will need to properly configure these applications in order to enable them while you play Guild Wars. Please contact the author of the software if you do not know how to make these adjustments.
If you have Eset's NOD32 anti-virus software, please see this article.
4. If your Internet Service Provider is America Online® and you are unable to use Internet applications outside of the AOL® client (such as Internet Explorer), please contact their Customer Support regarding this issue at http://www.aol.com/support/help.adp.
If the above information did not resolve this issue, please contact our Technical Support team by opening the PlayNC Support Center and clicking the Ask a Question link at the bottom of the page. Please include the following information:
Are you connecting through a router or hub? If so, what is the name and model number?
Are you on a home, campus, or business network?
Are you using a firewall application? If so which one?
Do you use any Internet Security Applications (ISA) such as CYBERsitter, Net-Nanny, ZoneAlarm®, McAfee®, or Norton™?
Who is your Internet service provider?
What type of connection do you have (cable, DSL, dial-up)?
Where are you located?
Please provide as much relevant information as possible; this will help them swiftly resolve your issue.

i really appreciate the effort, i had NOD32 after restoring my computer, but i deleted it after reading your message and my firewall was off but still GW won't re-instal... it can not connect to Arena Net. I tried and tried but all my attempts were in vain.
i insert gw (nightfall or eotn) dvd/cd and click "install" than i get "Connecting to ArenaNet" message and i w8 a few minutes but it always comes to the same point in progress and it won't budge any further! it seams only GW is not working and that's 95% of my time on a computer!!!

the thing is... i don't really know what the router is, so i'm not sure if i'm using 1 or not
my antenna is connected to my computer by a cable, there's nothing else here, except the device that is in my computer > Wireless LAN PCI Adapter.
